Summary
The myAudi portal offers a comprehensive suite of Audi digital services, including access to essential vehicle data, personal information management, and service configuration. We aimed to improve the user experience in selecting a preferred dealer to boost engagement and streamline Audi’s maintenance services.
The challenge
Our challenge was enhancing the user experience for selecting, updating, or removing a preferred dealer directly from the overview page of the myAudi portal.
Modal design
After thoughtful examination of the design patterns in the myAudi portal, we opted for a modal design to simplify the process of selecting a preferred dealer.
This decision enables us to provide users with a familiar and intuitive experience that seamlessly integrates with the overall portal design.
Dealership searches
After analyzing the research data we gathered from our users, we discovered something interesting: most users actually prefer using their ZIP code to find nearby dealerships instead of using a map view. This valuable insight guided our decision to focus on creating a more straightforward and user-friendly experience that aligns with their preferences.
By utilizing existing design patterns we created an experience that is user friendly and delightful.
The outcome
The redesigned preferred dealer selector garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from stakeholders, affirming the success of our meticulously crafted design solution. By skillfully addressing the identified needs and objectives, our design seamlessly aligns with stakeholders' expectations and requirements.
We made selecting a preferred dealer easy and enjoyable by using familiar patterns, smooth animations, and a user-first approach. The result is a seamless design that helps users find their ideal dealer with ease and confidence.
A focus on feedback
Upon selecting a dealer, we employ a seamless animation technique to effectively draw attention to the details drawer, utilizing motion as a focal point. Furthermore, we replicate this approach when concluding the modal after the dealership has been chosen.
